My name is Albert Bertolín I was born in Barcelona and I’m illustrator, nofun-games.com is my website and here is where I upload all my work. The name Nofun is just a nickname that I’ve adopted just for not making use of my real name, .. don’t know exactly why.

My work on the illustration field is extended and it pass trough many stages, from the most common editorial illustration to digital experiments with real-time video, video-games, interactive animations, 3D edition, music composition and everything that comes to my mind.

Before finishing my illustration degree at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, over the year 1996, I joined Bertrán Escolà graphic designer in order to set up an audio-visual communication studio glaznost. There we worked in many different projects from commercial to experimental, and it was there where I was starting to develop all that electronic and digital aspects.
By that time, digital culture was in a really exciting period and we focused ourselves to experimentation with Flash -Macromedia- video-game modifications -Counter strike- for making real-time visuals and I focused myself in electronic music composition with all kind of trackers and other audio software for our audio-visual performances.

We played in many places like Sónar, OFFF, DA2 museum in Salamanca, Transmediale in Berlin, Centre d’Art Santa Mónica -Barcelona, Falaises -Geneve, La Casa Encendida -Madrid, Wrong Festival -Barcelona, LowLands -Amsterdam, Matadero -Madrid and many others.
We were part of the Optiq syndicate with the people of Riereta in Barcelona and we gave some workshop of video-game modification at the centre of creation Hangar and l’Annex de Golferichs both in Barcelona. I did also published the album ‘No Funciona’ in vinyl with the label Ruga.

Later over the year 2004 we decided to separate and I emigrated to Berlin. There I was keeping Glaznost on, but more focused to the audio-visual field.
In parallel I create Nofun, focused in illustration.

Since then I’m running both projects in parallel so if you see the name glaznost all over this website don’t be surprised.

As an illustrator, I’ve worked for different editorials such as Vice-magazine, Index-Books, Ling, Garabattage, Rojo, Le Cool, Resident Advisor and so on. I published a monographic book called ‘Kultur Toilette’ with the Rojo editions. And also Illustrated some album covers.

I’ve worked on commercial advertising for brands like Playstation, Nike, Smart, Adidas, J&B and some others.
And Exhibitions of my illustrations at the Helium Cowboy -Hamburg, Pictoplasma -Berlin, Korea design foundation -Seoul, Nine Hotel -Monza, Lazy Dog -Paris to say some.

Actually I work as a freelance and stay in between Menorca and Barcelona, my work is oriented to illustration and the creation of graphics for video-games and interactives.
